FORUM RIDM 2025 : When is it?

The 20th edition will take place from November 21 to 26, 2025. This edition is divided into 2 parts:

•  The Doc Lab Montreal which will be held in closed circuit from November 21 to 23.

•  The Forum RIDM professional market which will take place from November 24 to 26.

 

What activities are open to Forum RIDM pass holders ? 

Although Forum RIDM will be held from November 21 to 26, the open activities with a pass will take place during the professional market, from November 24 to 26, 2025.

Doc Lab Montréal which takes place from the 21nd to the 23th is reserved for participants selected via a call for projects, open during the summer of 2025.

 

Are there opportunities to pitch my documentary project and meet potential investors ?

We have several activities that could help:

•  Doc Lab Montréal, for emerging filmmakers and producers with a documentary project in development.

•  Rough Cut Pitch, for feature-length creative documentaries at the editing or post-production stage with a producer.

•  One-on-One Pitches, for all types of documentary projects with an attached producer.

It is also possible for you to meet professionals in informal ways during professional market networking activities.

 

What are the dates for the Forum RIDM 2024 calls for projects ?

For the 21th edition, three calls for projects are launched:

•  Doc Lab Montréal from July 15 to August 14, 2025

•  Rough Cut Pitch from July 29 to August 25, 2025

 

Are there any grants or support offered by the RIDM Forum ? 

In general, toward the end of summer, Forum RIDM launches a call for applications for  TaCIC - Tremplin Territoires Grant for emerging filmmakers from outside the Montreal metropolitan region.

Also, if you are part this year Doc Lab Montréal cohort, there are prizes and supports offered by various organizations.

 

Can I already register for One-on-One Pitches 2025 ?

Registrations will open on October 29, 2025. 

 

You must have one three Forum RIDM passes to access the activities.
