The two chapters, released two years ago under the title While the Green Grass Grows (Grand Prize in the RIDM National Feature Film Competition), are finally given their rightful place in this greatly ambitious and deeply intimate seven-part work. In the style of a free-filmed diary, this work reveals a captivating philosophical and cinematographic exploration. Peter Mettler focuses his camera on a variety of participants, and sometimes turns it on himself, to explore diverse relationships, the human condition, creation, and memory. Sensitive conversations, a meditative approach, and a host of visual and sound experiments combine to chart a surprising journey, both geographically and in overall reflection. An ode to life and a touching tribute to his parents, this epic work is a sensory, poetic, and human experience. (HSB)

The screening on the 22nd will contain the film in its entirety (7 parts, 420 minutes) and will be presented with brief entracts (5 minutes) after parts 1 & 5, as well as a 1h break after part 4 (around 5:15PM to 6:15PM)

The screening on the 24th will be of Parts 1 to 4 and the one on the 25th will be of parts 5 to 7 - at Cinéma Public.
The 6 tickets package cannot be used for the November 24 and 25 screenings at Cinéma Public.

Peter Mettler will be present for short introductions at all 3 screenings, which won't be followed by Q&A sessions.
