Behind the illusion of digital lightness - easier to imagine as an ethereal cloud than a tangle of cables, servers, and industrial architecture - lies a colossal network made up of over 10,000 data centres spread across the world. Within these steel walls, and even in our most everyday objects, powerful private companies are pursuing their very real interests. The End of the Internet deconstructs preconceived notions about the web and gives a voice to those striving to break free from algorithmic domination and its commercial logic. The floor is given to pioneering hacktivists driven by a desire to liberate web users, revolt, and defend themselves against the insidious commercial authority of data, which is both omnipresent and silent.
