In rural Argentina, life is repetitive, and routine reigns supreme as multiple stories intersect. One night, Omar, an elderly farmer, sees a mysterious light in the sky. He then embarks on a journey in search of meaning with his grandson Noah. Meanwhile, two housekeepers, Rosana and Lily, prepare to welcome guests who will never arrive. In the silence of the uninhabited rooms, they discover something strange, something that blurs the line between magic and reality. The World Upside Down perfectly embraces the tradition of Argentinian magical realism, drawing on both documentary and fictional codes to look at an Argentina in crisis through folklore, mysticism, and the reversal of beliefs.
