In this intimate hybrid film, Stefan Djordjevic returns to his native village in Serbia for the first time since his mother’s death. He resumes a film project he had begun about her and her decision to seek alternative treatments while battling cancer in a remote cabin deep in the woods. After hitting a stray dog on the road, Stefan takes the dog in and nurses her back to health, a process that constantly stirs up memories of his mother. With the help of his endearing family members, he sets about renovating the cabin. The narrative swings between contemplative images of the past and the present and between a mother's philosophical approach to illness and the introspection of a bereaved family learning to believe in the miraculousness of the wind.
